​

A major packaging producer was considering a significant expansion on its production capacity. We were invited to provide expert opinion on commercial risk assessment including identification, evaluation and impact of the overall feasibility. We acted as part of the project team and contributed internal project work and analysis.

Regulatory impact assessment

 

A packaging company assigned us to provide a comprehensive review on the current status of plastic bans globally. Our assessment covered development, reasoning and mechanisms on plastic bans as well as the development and potential future actions. Particular focus was put on single use plastic product directive (SUPPD) and its anticipated impacts.

Business opportunity assessment

 

A technology supplier to pulp & paper industry wanted to create a holistic understanding on future opportunities for bio- and fibre based materials. Particular focus was put on product development and potential new applications and products made from bio-based and cellulosic materials.

Business due diligence

 

A company focusing on project development in waste management sector was looking for funding for its business development initiatives. Parties involved in deciding the granting of the funding asked us to perform commercial and technical due diligence assessment of the company and its business plan.

Project attractiveness assessment

 

A pulp & paper company was interested in understanding the financial attractiveness of selected pulp mill projects in the Northern hemisphere. We were hired to provide the client with an outside-in review of the projects and their sponsors as well as to specifically assess associated raw material availability and sourcing risks.

A forest products company hired us to challenge their method to forecast price of a global commodity product. We developed a new method to identify potential market disruptions and quantify their impact on supply and consequent impact on prevailing assumptions.
